POLITERM® BLU FEIN

ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT THERMALLY INSULATING AGGREGATE, PRE-COATED WITH E.I.A. ADDITIVE. BEAD Ø ≤ 2 MM

POLITERM® BLU FEIN is the fine-bead version (Ø ≤ 2 mm (≤ 3/32 in)) of POLITERM® BLU, for lightweight thermally insulating subfloors and screeds made on site with cement and water. The fine bead gives a more homogeneous and compact mix and a smoother surface, while still weighing as little as a tenth of a traditional subfloor.

It is made of EPS beads coated with E.I.A. additive: the additive makes the beads mix perfectly with cement, stops them floating and spreads them evenly through the mix, at low and high densities alike. The result is a lightweight concrete that does not settle, does not shrink and does not crack. It is the only RAL-certified aggregate. It is the only product that makes self-levelling lightweight thermally insulating mortars possible.

With the same product you obtain densities from formula 110 (about 130 kg/m³ (8.1 lb/ft³), λD 0.042 W/mK (0.29 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F))) up to 1800 kg/m³ (112 lb/ft³) and 25 N/mm² (3,626 psi). It needs very little mixing water and dries quickly (about 1 day per cm).

It is mixed in a cement mixer or horizontal mixer and pumped with POLITERM® MACHINE, ISOLCAP MACHINE or screed pumps. Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0.
