ISOLCAP FEIN 300

PRE-MIXED, LIGHTWEIGHT AND THERMALLY INSULATING SUBFLOOR. 300 kg/m3 (18.7 lb/ft³)

ISOLCAP FEIN 300 is the pre-mixed lightweight insulating subfloor that also works as a screed: at 300 kg/m³ (18.7 lb/ft³) it creates a single-layer screed on which ceramic tiles, stoneware, terracotta or parquet can be glued directly, avoiding a separate subfloor plus screed. You save time, thickness and weight.

Made with EPS beads coated with E.I.A. additive, it combines thermal insulation (λD 0.078 W/mK) (0.54 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F)) with good strength (1.61 N/mm² (234 psi) in compression). It does not settle, does not shrink and does not crack, and it is also suitable as a base for roof waterproofing.

With very little mixing water it dries quickly: at 5 cm (2 in) thickness ceramic tiles can be laid after about 96 hours and floating parquet after about 7 days. After 28 days the residual moisture is below 2%, a decisive advantage in wood-frame buildings.

It is mixed with a drill and whisk, a cement mixer or a mixer, and pumped to the floor with POLITERM® MACHINE, ISOLCAP MACHINE, a properly fitted plastering machine or a truck mixer and concrete pump. Combined with DBRED FONOTECH 5 it contributes to impact sound insulation (ΔLw 26 dB with 7 cm (2 3/4 in)). Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0.

NOTE
  • Zero hygrometric shrinkage
  • No bleeding
  • Dimensionally stable
  • Ultra-low residual moisture
  • No cracking
  • RAL certified
  • Suitable for single-layer screeds with directly glued floor coverings
