ECAP® L

PREFINISHED EPS PANEL FOR THERMAL INSULATION SYSTEMS

ECAP® L is the prefinished EPS board (class 100) for external thermal insulation systems. It arrives on site with the fibreglass mesh and the first coat of smoothing mortar already applied in the factory, plus punched holes for the anchors: fewer operations, shorter times and consistent quality. The system is completed with ECAP® ADP and the ECAP® finishes.

With λD 0.038 W/mK (0.26 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F)) and thicknesses from 30 to 200 mm (1.18 to 7.87 in) it suits most energy-saving requirements, on new buildings and in façade refurbishment, and also for internal insulation of walls and ceilings.

NOTE

Board 600 × 1200 mm (23 5/8 × 47 1/4 in) (0.72 m² (7.8 ft²)) with straight edges; prefinished with about 3 mm (0.118 in) of cement smoothing mortar and alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh 160 g/m² (4.7 oz/yd²) with overlaps; punched holes for anchors.
EPS class 100: λD 0.038 W/mK (0.26 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F)) (EN 12667); CS(10) ≥ 100 kPa (≥ 15 psi); BS ≥ 200 kPa (≥ 29 psi); dimensional stability ± 0.2%.
Reaction to fire class E; μ 30-70; specific heat 1450 J/kgK; service temperature limit 80 °C (176 °F).
Thicknesses 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 120, 150, 180 and 200 mm (1.18, 1.57, 1.97, 2.36, 2.76, 3.15, 3.54, 3.94, 4.72, 5.91, 7.09 and 7.87 in) (+ 3 mm (0.118 in) smoothing mortar).
Smoothing mortar: 1400 kg/m³ (87.4 lb/ft³), λ 0.80 W/mK (5.55 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F)), Sd 0.15 m (3 mm (0.118 in)).
