ISOLTECO® 230

PRE-MIXED PLASTER, PROVIDING EXCELLENT THERMAL INSULATION. 230 kg/m3 (14.4 lb/ft³)

ISOLTECO® 230 is the strongest plaster in the range (1.28 N/mm² (186 psi)): it insulates (λD 0.063 W/mK (0.44 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F))) and also improves the sound insulation of the wall (ΔRw 7 dB with 6 cm (2 3/8 in)). It is used on external walls, internal walls and ceilings and to correct thermal bridges.

Made with selected hydraulic binders and EPS beads coated with E.I.A. additive, it only needs water and is applied from 2 to 20 cm (13/16 to 7 7/8 in), indoors and outdoors: once cured it is unaffected by rain, moisture and temperature changes (capillary absorption W1), stays breathable (μ 9) and is class A2-s1,d0 for reaction to fire.

It can be applied by machine or by hand (about 9-10 L (2.4-2.6 US gal) of water per bag). After at least 7 days it is skimmed with ECAP® ADP (4-5 mm (0.157 to 0.197 in)) and finished with breathable silicate or silicone paints or coloured finishes from the ECAP® range, after ECAP® F primer. A fibreglass mesh (140 g/m² (4.1 oz/yd²)) in the skim coat is recommended to increase impact resistance.
