PROTHERM LIGHT® FRP

COMPOSITE BOARD FOR PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION OF STRUCTURAL FRP REINFORCEMENTS

PROTHERM LIGHT® FRP is the composite board that provides passive fire protection for FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) structural reinforcements. FRP strengthening is very sensitive to high temperatures: without protection, a fire can quickly compromise its structural performance.

It combines a nanotechnological board with the PROTHERM LIGHT® fire protection plaster in a single 40 mm (1 5/8 in) element, with a thermal resistance of 2.8 m²K/W (15.9 h·ft²·°F/BTU) and a weight of only 11 kg/m² (2.3 lb/ft²), so it adds very little load to the structure being strengthened.

The 360 × 700 mm (14 1/8 × 27 1/2 in) boards (about 3 kg (6.6 lb) each) are easy to handle and install; see the installation manual.
