ULTRA-LIGHT BLOCK FOR MASONRY

SMARTBLOCK® B.06.300 is a solid ultra-light block (300 kg/m³ (18.7 lb/ft³)) made of cement and POLITERM® BLU / BLU FEIN virgin EPS beads coated with the E.I.A. additive. It weighs only 3.6 kg (7.9 lb), is cut with a simple saw and is laid with MALTA BLOCK 600 thermal mortar: walls go up quickly, with little waste and no thermal bridges at the joints.

At 6 cm (2 3/8 in) thick it is the choice for insulating linings, thermal bridge correction on pillars and beams and walls next to other buildings: the plastered wall reaches U 1.049 W/m²K (0.18 BTU/(h·ft²·°F)), a phase shift of 2.5 h and a calculated sound insulation of Rw 38.1 dB. Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0, CE marked to EN 771-3.

Thermal resistance of the block: 0.750 m²K/W (4.3 h·ft²·°F/BTU); equivalent thermal conductivity 0.08 W/mK (0.55 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F)).
Plastered wall (15 mm (0.591 in) plaster per side): U 1.049 W/m²K (0.18 BTU/(h·ft²·°F)); R 0.953 m²K/W (5.4 h·ft²·°F/BTU); periodic transmittance Yie 0.988 W/m²K (0.17 BTU/(h·ft²·°F)); phase shift 2.5 h; attenuation factor 0.942.
Calculated sound insulation: Rw 38.1 dB.
Reaction to fire: Euroclass A2-s1,d0 (EN 13501-1); μ 12; specific heat 0.33 kcal/kgK.
Wall: 5 blocks/m²; mass 18 kg/m² (3.7 lb/ft²) (excluding plaster).
Pallet: 84 blocks, approx. 306.4 kg (675 lb), 1030 × 1030 × 1260 mm (40 1/2 × 40 1/2 × 50 in).
