VICTORIA TOWER

In the refurbishment of the Victoria Tower, a steel-framed tower in central Brussels, 120 minutes of fire resistance were required. PROTHERM LIGHT® was sprayed on about 7,000 m² (75,347 ft²) of composite steel deck floors, 22 mm (7/8 in) thick in a single coat, and on about 18,000 m² (193,750 ft²) of steel beams, 30 mm (1.18 in) thick. Thanks to a density of only 300 kg/m³ (18.7 lb/ft³) and the low thicknesses, material consumption and installation times were significantly lower than with traditional solutions.
